Previous Q & A
Previous Questions and Answers
Q:Hi, We are interested in using this plan to build in the mountains with post and beam foundation. Does this plan include that kind of foundation?
A:That plan shows a basement.
Q:What side is the electrical panel on and also when you order how long does it take to get the plans? Thanks
A:Electrical panel should be located close to where the main supply is located. It is typically determined based on the jobsite. For this plan, I'd locate it in the Future bonus room or unheated mechanical room.
Plans without changes are sent same day as ordered, if received prior to 3pm central
Q:Do you send a PDF with the CAD when the CAD is ordered? Do you have a version of this plan with a full fireplace? Does the foundation need to be buried anywhere for support, or can we expose as much as we want?
A:The PDF is sent with CAD.
We can modify with full fireplace for $300
Foundation does not have to be buried in any way. Only footings need to be below grade to support the walls
Q:Hello, I have a question regarding house plan # 51697
My invoice # 20210118093042 which I purchased December 2020.
Drawing shows a 10' basement ceiling height. Is there any reason it couldnt be dropped down to a 9' height ?
Thank you,
Christina Bitting
Email [email protected]
A:Basement can be changed to 9ft ceiling with no issue
Q:Do the plans call out the exact window and door sizes?
A:Yes
Q:we are looking at traditional style house plan 51697. Our HOA has restrictions how high a house can be. Can you tell us how high is the roof line above the first floor and above the lower level floor as shown in the pictures?
A:Max Ridge Height:
26'10 from Front Door Floor Level. + the 10’ basement ceiling height + floor joists. Total from basement floor to ridge is 37’-10”
Q:What does the 9 CLG in the master bedroom indicate and also what type of fire place is in this plan? and how is it vented/
A:That is the area of the ceiling that is 9ft tall flat. The center section is vaulted from 9’ ceiling to the ridge. It is a non-vented fireplace. However you can easily change that to a vented fireplace or stove.
Q:Could I please get a pdf with reverse pictures for this plan? Not all the pictures on the website reverse. Thanks!
A:Yes, simply order the Right Reading (True) Reverse, when you select the PDF File when you place your order
