Q: This plan indicates one story but the floor plan indicates a stairway to an overhead space. I am not interested in a bath or kitchen. Is the upstairs usable for storage or unfinished open living?
A: Yes it is. That is exactly what that is.
Q: One more question...does this plan require any beam supports in the garage, i.e. a pole/support column between the two parking spaces?
A: We don’t have any beams or columns shown. It’s a pre-engineered floor system; that’s what allows for the longer span without additional support.
Q: Do the plans accomodate an 18x7' garage door or are they configured for a 16' garage door? Also, would it be possible to widen the garage by one foot so it would be 25x24? When facing the garage door from the outside, I would prefer the left side to have more space than the right side. One more question, could the dormer be a shed dormer instead of a gable dormer? A: We can certainly make the changes you have listed below or you can make those changes in the field (just check with your builder). The garage doors are called out at 16’x0” – 7’x0”
