Q:I need the wing containing the master bedroom to be handicap accessible. Can you share the width of the framed opening leading to this area from the kitchen, the width of the hallway, and the width of all doors in that area: master bedroom, master closet, master bath, laundry.
A:The opening in the kitchen is 3', the hallway is 4' wide, and all doors in that space have the capacity to be enlarged to 3' doors for accessibility. The only exception is the powder room door which could only be enlarged to a 2'-8" door. The toilet room in the master would need to be enlarged into the tub space to accommodate a 3' door.
Q:Do you have another for basement with an alternate location for the steps?
A:The basement option comes with the steps in the location depicted on the basement option floorplan. Any alternate location would have to be done as a modification to the plan. You can click the "Modification" link to inquire about a price and timeline.
Q:With 2 x 6 walls what would the square footage be?
A:The square footage will remain virtually the same (3 sf more) since the extra 2" of the 2x6 walls will go towards the interior not the exterior.
Q:Do you have this exact plan with a bonus room above the garage?
A:We do not have this exact plan with a bonus room. You can view plan 56916 for a similar design with a bonus room. The exterior materials could be chosen to mimic the exterior of this design, or you could request a modification to add a bonus room to the existing plan.
