Barndominium Plan 82928 takes the spirit of an old Western ranch house and gives it a thoroughly modern tune-up. Inside its 1,878 square feet are 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a vaulted open living area, split-bedroom layout, and smart mudroom setup. Outside, a 12-foot-deep wraparound covered porch and oversized 791-square-foot 3-car garage give this Country Farmhouse design plenty of room for both relaxing and getting things done.
This house can wear more than one personality. Vertical white siding gives it crisp Farmhouse character, while dark siding and stone can push the design toward a rugged mountain-ranch look. Either way, that deep porch wrapping around the front and side is the star. Load it up with rocking chairs, an outdoor dining table, or comfortable seating and enjoy a stellar view of the mountains, woods, pasture, or backyard.
Double front doors reveal a wide-open interior instead of an old-school collection of boxed-in rooms. A farmhouse-sized dining table fits naturally between the kitchen and living area.
